For schools, and for trusts running many of them

Spend less of the school day on paperwork.

Unistha keeps admissions, the daily register, fees, report cards and parent messages in one system — so your office stops re-typing the same information into four different registers, and parents stop calling to ask.

The demo is a real, fully-loaded school. No signup, nothing to install.

Watch

A school before Unistha, and after

Under two minutes, and it shows more than this page can tell you. It is playing silently — turn the sound on whenever you like.

What's inside

One system, not seven subscriptions

Every module below is part of the product. Turn on the ones your school runs; leave the rest off.

The school day

Admissions through to results, with the register in between.

  • Students

Admissions, profiles, year-end promotion, TCs and certificates, ID cards.

  • Academics

Classes, sections, subjects, syllabus and the master timetable.

  • Attendance

Daily student register, staff attendance, hostel roll-call — and reports on all three.

  • Exams & report cards

Marks entry, grading schemes, CBSE-format report cards with co-scholastic, PDFs ready to print.

  • Online tests

Set tests students take on the web or their phone.

  • Study material

Share notes, worksheets and reference files by class and subject.

Fees & operations

The money, the buses, the beds and the store cupboard.

  • Fees

Fee structures, installments, concessions, invoices and receipts.

  • Online payment

Parents pay through Razorpay or HDFC. Defaulter lists and reminders follow automatically.

  • Staff HR

Staff attendance, leave, payroll and payslips.

  • Library

Books and copies, issue and return, fines.

  • Transport

Routes, stops, vehicles, drivers and student assignments.

  • Hostel

Rooms, allotments, a live occupancy map and roll-call.

  • Inventory & store

Stock items and every movement in or out of the school store.

Communication & oversight

Keeping parents in the loop, and keeping a record of everything.

  • Announcements

Notices to the whole school, one class, or a single group.

  • Homework & calendar

Homework by class and subject, plus a shared calendar of events.

  • Messaging

One-to-one messages with attachments between staff, parents and students.

  • Photo gallery

Event albums parents can actually find and look through.

  • Analytics

Dashboards for attendance, fee collection and results.

  • Activity log

Every write and every login recorded, read-only, for audit.

Seven roles

Everyone sees their own school

One login each, and a screen built around what that person actually does. Nobody wades through menus meant for someone else.

Director

Every branch on one screen — collection, attendance and admissions side by side.

Principal

Full oversight of one school: academics, staff, fees and the day's operations.

Admin

The front office — admissions, fee collection, records, certificates and ID cards.

Class Teacher

Their class end to end: the daily register, marks, report cards and parent contact.

Teacher

Their periods and subjects: timetable, homework, study material, marks and tests.

Parent

Attendance, marks, report cards, homework and fee dues — with a way to pay them.

Student

Timetable, homework, study material, online tests, results and notices.

Web & mobile

The same school, on whatever's to hand

One account works everywhere, and it carries the same permissions with it. A class teacher is a class teacher on the phone too — no second system, no separate password to forget.

On the web

The full system in the browser — where the office does admissions, fee collection, marks entry and reporting.

On the phone

Native apps for iOS and Android, so teachers can mark the register and parents can check dues without opening a laptop.

Your school's data

Built so the answers are boring

Every school that has ever been asked to move its records onto someone else's computer asks the same four questions. These are the answers, and each one is a property of how Unistha is built.

  • Your records are not in a shared table

Each school gets its own database schema. Another school's query cannot reach your rows by accident, because your rows are not in the same place.

  • Hosted in India

The servers and the backups sit in Microsoft Azure's Central India region. Your students' records do not leave the country.

  • Every change has a name on it

Who edited that mark, who took that fee, who signed in at midnight — written down as it happens, readable, and impossible to edit afterwards.

  • People see their own school, and nothing else

A subject teacher cannot mark another class's register or publish its results. Permissions are enforced on the server, not hidden in the menu.

For trusts & school groups

Run five schools without opening five systems

Most school software makes a trust log into each branch separately and add the numbers up in a spreadsheet. Unistha was built multi-branch from the start, so the group view is the product — not a report you export.

  • One login across every branch

Directors move between schools without signing out, and see them side by side in a single consolidated dashboard.

  • Each branch stays its own school

Every school gets its own subdomain and its own isolated database schema. A branch's records never sit in the same tables as another's.

  • Configured branch by branch

One school runs hostels, another runs transport only. Modules are switched on per school, not for the whole group.

  • Access you can account for

Role-based permissions decide who sees what, and an activity log records every write and every login, read-only.

Questions

The things schools ask us first

If yours is not here, the form at the bottom of this page reaches a person.

What is Unistha?

Unistha is school management software for Indian schools and school trusts. It keeps admissions, the daily attendance register, fees and online payments, exams and CBSE-format report cards, timetables, homework, transport, hostel, library, staff HR and parent communication in one system, used on the web and on iOS and Android phones.

Does each school get its own website address?

Yes. Every school signs in at its own subdomain — yourschool.unistha.com — with its own logo, its own users and its own separate database schema. Schools on Unistha never share a login page or a set of records.

Where is our data stored, and who can see it?

In Microsoft Azure's Central India region, in a database schema belonging only to your school. Inside the school, role-based permissions decide who sees what, and a read-only activity log records every write and every sign-in, so any change can be traced to a person.

Do the report cards follow the CBSE format?

Yes. Unistha does marks entry by subject, grading schemes, co-scholastic assessment and the result calculation, and produces CBSE-format report cards as PDFs ready to print. Class teachers issue their own class's report cards; subject teachers enter marks for the papers they set.

Can parents pay fees online?

Yes, through Razorpay or HDFC, from the parent app or the web. The payment lands against the right invoice with the right tender recorded, a receipt is issued, and defaulter lists and reminders follow automatically. The office can also take cash, UPI or a cheque at the counter and print the same receipt.

Is there a mobile app for parents and teachers?

Yes — native apps for both Android and iOS. It is the same account and the same permissions as the web: a class teacher is a class teacher on the phone too. Teachers mark the register, set homework and enter marks; parents see attendance, marks, report cards, homework, notices and fee dues, and can pay them.

We run several schools under one trust. Do we need a login for each?

No. Unistha was built multi-branch from the start. A director signs in once and moves between branches without signing out, and sees collection, attendance and admissions for every school side by side on one dashboard. Each branch still keeps its own subdomain, its own database schema and its own set of switched-on modules.

Can we turn off the modules we do not use?

Yes. Modules are switched on per school, not for the whole group — a school with no hostel never sees hostel screens, and the menu for every role is built from what that school actually runs.

What does Unistha cost?

Pricing depends on how many students you have and which modules you switch on, and is quoted either per student or as a figure for the year. Tell us your size on the form on this page and we will send you a number.

Can we see it before deciding?

Yes, and without talking to anybody first. demo.unistha.com is a complete school already loaded with students, fees, timetables and report cards. Sign in as a director, a principal, a class teacher, a parent or a student and see exactly what that person sees. There is no signup and nothing to install.
